Mathews Enterprises LLC Timothy L Mathews Scammed; Ripped Off Crestview Florida

Mr. Timothy L. Mathews of Mathews Enterprises was contacted to repave a driveway at 1609 Oakmont Circle in Niceville, Florida.

He quoted $4200 and demanded half be paid up front which we later learned from professional contractors in the concrete business that this is a shady practice but we are naive and trusted him. We paid half, $2100 on 6/13/2014 with work to start 6/16/2014.

Mr. Mathews was a no call no show and refused to return phone calls and messages 6/16, 6/17, and 6/18. Finally late 6/19, Mr. Mathews says his demo guy in Destin is on another job and that was the delay. He said he'd get to work 6/20 or latest 6/21.

Mr. Mathews again no call and no showed on 6/20 and 6/21 but had promptly cashed our check on 6/16 with no work done. Finally, we decided to cut our losses and go with another company to get the work done and we received a phone call late on 6/22 around 9 p.m. with yet another excuse. We apologized for the problems and requested our money back. Mathews refused and continues to refuse to return $2100 of our hard-earned money for which he performed no work. We are a military family and can't believe a local contractor would scam us like this. Watch out for Mathews Enterprises LLC and Timothy Mathews.
