I recently had to purchace a newer vehicle due to the rise in gas prices i needed to obtain a truck with better gas mileage that the one i owned.
I dont have the greatest credit and i applied online for an auto loan. I was directed to Mathews Ford in Oregon, Ohio and met a guy by the name of Hal Harman.
I wound up buying a 2002 Ford Ranger with only 17,000 miles on it. Well come to find out the 6 disc changer in the radio was bad and from what i was TOLD by Mr. Harman was that i had the extent of the factory warranty left on the vehicle. This was the first lie.
I went to a dealership that was closer to my house thinking i was able to get it fixed at any dealership. Wouldn't you know it. The gentleman at this other dealership informed me that i had no warranty.
By now i was kind of furious so i decided to go back to Mathews Ford to get this straightened out. They gave me the run around about not being able to get another radio for a month or so. After about an hour they finally said that they had found a single disc radio in the back.
I was just wanting to get out of there after being disgusted with all the signage saying "Mathews Ford The Best Ford Dealership in the World." I took the single disc radio and went on my way.
Plus the fact that they did not look over the vehicle very well to begin with just makes me sick. I spent $10,000 at this dealership and they just spit in my face. I had to replace the dirty air filter, the low and dirty oil, and fill all the fluids up. Is this the kind of service a FORD dealership is supposed to be known for. I doubt it.
These people didnt care about me. All they wanted was me in and out as fast as they could get me because i wasnt dresssed in a suit and i do not make six figures. I think my money is just as green as the next guys. Oh, maybe it was the fact that i didnt trade in my SL600 and i traded in a 90' F150 that had over 250,000 miles. Im sorry.

Many only care about how much money they can pump out of you. The real sade part to this issue is it is hard to find a Attorney general that will spank car dealers that play funny games with consumers. I only know of one AG's office that will bend them over and give it to them. He is in New York.
Try reading the 87 Rip Off Reports in your state about car dealers. I am sure many car dealers would love to have a few rip Off Reports deleted.

Scroll down to the 3rd PIC and you will see that they had her sign 4 different car buying contracts. On the last contract they had her sign they kicked her trade out of the car deal and never told her, She now has a FAT REPO on her credit report That she did not ask for or deserve.

I would like to ask you to do me a big favor. I would like to ask you to email the following people at 550 KFYI AM. It's an AM radio station that say they are a 'TALK Radio station.
Try emailing the following talk show hosts and try to ask them why they will not let Stick Tell all of what he knows about Fraud and deceptive ways in the auto industry. See what they email back to you and then post all of their replies on this Rip Off Report.
Car buyers are not informed of auto dealer scams and Rip Off's because the media "Talk radio, News papers and local TV stations get most of their advertising money from car dealers.
Now email each of the following people at 550 KFIY and ask them why they will not help inform car buyers of new car dealer scams. Post all replys that you get right here on this Rip Off Report so I can pick them apart!
I feel if it were not for radio advertisers these Microphone MUTTS would not have a job!

The Sad Facts

This is way car dealer treat people with "bad credit"(or anyone). You spent $10k on a 2002 Ford Ranger that they picked up for $4k or $5K at most. With "good credit" you could have picked up a new one new one for that. They told you the radio/CD player would be covered under "the balance of the factory warranty".
Even with only 17k miles on the vehicle, the warranty runs out at 36 months(3 years) which means either you have a very short time on it or it already expired. That's your fault for not checking. When you bought the truck, you should have had them do an "I OWE YOU" with the sale, IN WRITTING, saying they'd do all the required 3 year/36k maintantence.
The 3 year/36k checkup is rather expensive and many owners trade in their vehicles just prior to that point with a month or two left on the warranty. VERY COMMON. It might have been a lease vehicle also. Typical cheap car dealer doesn't want to spend a few bucks to change the oil and replace an air filter.
I buy my air filters at Walmart. Fram or someother type. Ford dealer wanted $36, Fram's $9 for a big cone shaped thing for a F-150. They probably "found" a single CD player in the back from someone who had upgraded and paid for, to a 6 CD player and they pulled the single out and got it for free, but what does it matter.
