I hired Robin Martinelli to do surveillance on my husband who was cheating on me and also very abusive. I told Robin everything that was going on and she assured me that not only would she catch him cheating, but she would also help me to get a divorce from him since he was physically abusing me. Robin told me that $5,000 would cover all expenses and any money left over, she would refund to me. I had explained to her that it would be very hard for me to get the money because I would have to sneak the money that Robin was requiring for a retainer so that my husband would not find out. Robin was so nice to me during that time. Once I had the $5,000 that she had required for a retainer, she told me that her team would immediately begin work. Since Robin was unable to call me due to my husband possibly finding out, I had to call her.
I called her about 2 weeks later and Robin had said that she had a lot of great video for me. I went to her office and she had nothing. She did not have barely any videos and the ones that she did have was only about a total of 3 or 4 minutes with my husband in them and he was just walking into stores. Once I was at her office, she told me that the bill was $6,500. When I told her that I was not paying another $1,500 when she didn't even do any work, and I should actually receive a refund, she yelled at me and threatened to call my husband and tell him that I had hired her. She knew that I was scared to death of him and that he was abusive, and this is how she got more money out of me. I was devastated. How could a person threaten something like that just to get more money?
She is the most rude, crude, unprofessional woman that I have ever met. She knew that I would find a way to pay that money to keep from my husband finding out. What a horrible person. One of her staff members became very upset when she threatened me and they stepped outside of the room that we were in and started arguing. I could hear her staff member tell her that was unethical and a horrible thing and she just yelled at that person too. Unfortunately, I cannot report her to the Board for Private Investigators because then my husband will find out. But I hope and pray everyday that somebody else will. The reason why she is still in business is because she blackmails people to get her money and people are afraid that she will call their spouses.

It appears that this woman has a host of complaints against her. Instead of posting online and going back and forth all of you people should find some way to get together and file a complaint with the State of Georgia. A simple review will illustrate that she was fined for claiming to be a law enforcement officer and was fined accordingly. A simple check shows she has no viablle education in police work that would include a college degree or even working for someone else before charging out on her own. I would imagine if enough people filed a complaint, her license would be revoked and no one else would ever have to post on this site. There are dozens of other private investigators in her area that have been in business for a long time. Go with the ones with the organic listings as anyone can get a HIGH RANK on Google, Yahoo, and BING. If I was to bet, that is how most of the people complaining about her located her.
I think many of you were taken in by her extensive social media advertising and her enthusuam to solve a problem that she could not solve to begin with. When you are used to getting the money she is on a regular basis, it is hard to stop. Private Investigators that take divorce and child custody cases make a great deal of money by driving the emotions of the client, much like the attorneys do, as they tend to drag out cases as long as possible, and with little regard for the people who are suffering.

I have checked my records and have no client named Natalie neither have I had a female client pay a retainer of $5,000. If you really do exist please give me a call and I will attempt to resolve whatever issues you have. In addition if you are in a abusive domestic situation I would urge to contact your local law enforcement agency and seek their assistance. Lastly I believe you can contact the Georgia Board and file a complaint and they will not release your name to anyone. You can even file the compalint online by going to the GA Secretary of State website.
As to your complaint that our agency did not catch your husband having an affair, we can not guarantee the results of an investigation. In a few rare cases we have followed a subject and they have ended up not having an affair. We film all surveillances and provide complete reports to justify the hours that we invest in our cases. By doing this we can sit down with our clients and update them on their investigation and make adjustments if we need to change our strategy. This also allows us to keep up with the amount spent on the case so that if we have used up most of the retainer, the client can decide whether to continue, therefore, your account of you owing $1,500 doesn't ring true. In addition I don't normally take on cases were the client is in an abusive situation. I'd much rather let the local police agency get involved because I don't want to place my investigators and the client in a dangerous situation if the spouse is violent.
