Matt Dillon came to my town in July. Oh how I'd read the Rip-off report about him before then! He worked hard, locating most of my 30 machines in about 2 weeks. He brought his family here and I thought we'd actually developed a working relationship.
He then talked me into a "great" deal of buying some more vending machines on the side. Exactly what we were looking for, too. And stupidly, I handed him $2000. That's the last time I saw him. He kept texting me, staying in touch, so I waited almost 2 months before filing a police report.
Don't trust this guy AT ALL. The locating company that I used has since completely washed their hands of him. Spread the news. Do your homework.
I hate any type of situation where I feel like I'm "selling" anything so I really wanted a good locator. He really screwed us! Out of 30 machines he put 4 in without permission (mad people!), 3 of them disappeared and I can't find them. Two of them never got placed. One was put in a children's store (selling highly caffeinated products), and 3 of them were put in dark corners where they make maybe $0.50 per month! So far the vending business has bitten me in the butt.
I realize I am to blame in falling for this. I also realize I will probably never get my money back - or my machines. BUT, if I can help someone else avoid the trap, then I will shout it to the rooftops. I was already in pretty dire financial straits. I'm now in deep doo-doo!

Please understand I hadn't read the reports on Matt. You'd better believe I NEVER would have used him, had I known. The company who hired him had started to get some complaints about him right before they sent him to me. But they said it wasn't their place to tell me any of that because they didn't know if the complaints were true or not.
Actually, I never realized you could file on ripoff reports on an individual. I just thought it was for businesses. It was only by mistake, googling Matt's name that I saw the connection to ripoff.

I dont understand if you read reports on him, why did you still use him? He did the same thing to me only he placed 3 machines of mine where people did not want them. He also convinced me to give him all the money for the 10 machine job upfront. Hopefully one day justice will be done. I am very sorry to hear that he ripped you off as well but dont hold out hope for getting any of the money back. He promised me a refund which I have not seen in about 3 months. Good luck to you.
