Matthew Kraus Fraudulently misrepresented a vehicle Englewood Colorado

I recently purchased a commercial truck Ritchie Brothers auction in Morris IL. a suberb of Chicago.  I bought the truck on-line over the Ritchie Brothers simulcast auction. 

The commercial dump truck, like all Ritche Bros vehicles, had a condition report.  When I arrived, two weeks later, to drive the truck back to Denver, the dump truck was so badly corroded that it was undrivable.  The brake lines had completely corroded through, and some frame rails in back, had completely dissolved.  The rocker panels under the cab as well as parts of the cab floor were gone.  

Absolutely none of this was mentioned in the condition report.  No mention at all of any rust on the truck.  The truck was used as a sand and gravel Plow Truck, and despite the full set up on the front for a plow, there was no mention of this in the condition report.  All of the photos of the truck were cleverly positioned as to not show any corrosion on the vehicle.  Normally there are at least 6-8 photos of the underside of each vehicle.  In this case there were none.  

The condition report said that the truck was drivable, it was not.  When I talked to the regional manager at Ritchie in a nut shell he said that it is not Ritchie Bros policy to report corrosion,  and that I  should have known better because I am an experienced buyer at Ritchie, in other words, Tough Luck!

I and all other customers at Ritchie, rely on accurate and honest condition reports to purchase vehicles on the Internet.  The regional managers attitude is probably a good reason for Ritchie Bros. slow decline.  They do not sell nearly as many vehicles as they used to, there reputation is terrible and if this keeps up, they will be out of business.  They bought Iron Planet to try to reduce competition but it is only a stop gap measure.

Now, even though I have filed a complaint with the Illinoise Attorney General's Office, I am going to have to sue Ritchie Bros.  

Avoid Ritchie Bros at all costs.  They are completely unethical and fraudulent.
