I sold a MacBook Pro to this buyer via eBay (item# 171891311032), and they later filed a chargeback with their credit card company. I contacted them via eBay messages and the buyer assured me it was a "mistake".. they claim to have ordered another laptop from someone else and did not get it. He assured me the "mix up" would be resolvedthis message exchange took place 9/2/15. Also, Initially I sent them the wrong type of charger for the MacBook... I then sent them the correct one with a return label...Paypal won't cover me because they used the same label that I used to send the laptop to them (not the return label I told them to use), to return the wrong charger I sent. I never instructed them to use that label, but its messing things up even more..since it looks can like they sent the computer back in the system (of course the weight is a lot lighter)...which they did not, only the incorrect charger. I explained this to PayPal, and they released my funds after I verified the returned package was simply the incorrect charger, and they released my money at that point (9/4/15). Today (9/16/15), I had the funds held again and PayPal won't release the funds because the chargeback is still in effect with the credit card company.

After futher investigation I was able to contact Maximilian via twitter to see if this was a case of someone using his identitiy to commit fraud, or if it was him doing it.  I politley expalined the situtation, not knowing if he was a victim or the perpatator.. He acted very confused, repeatedly saying "what' and "who is this"..I explained the situation clearly, again, His last twitter message was "I'm not interested in any of this please do not put me in your mentions:..and then blocked me on twitter.

He has recently changed his eBay name to ma199iou ..when he purchased the MacBook, his eBay name was max17roberts.  I also contacted a seller from his feeback and discovered he purchased an Apple watch as well, then retunred an empty box and filed a chargeback with the credit card company.

He will not answer the Phone number associated with his eBay account, not return messages through eBay, nor return email.  Based on the avaiable evidence I am sure this guy is a scammer...  From the looks of things this guy has a promising career in football, not sure why he wants to ruin his life by commiting felonies.

This matter is currently under investigarion my the FBI's internet fraud division.
