On September 27th 2015 my family and I went to Puyallup to go to the fair. Before the fair we ended checking out some car dealerships for reliable vehicle me myself. We ended up going to a dealership called Maxx Autos Plus in Puyallup. The Sales guy Web came out to us and said what kind of vehicle are we looking for. My sister at the time came with me and told the guy straight up that we have $2K cash in hand to purchase a vehicle today. He said cool come follow me and he took us to couple of cars that wasn't anything I could see myself driving. He took us father back into the property to show us cars that weren't even close to the other cars he was selling at the time.

We walked by this 96 Nissan Maxima from a customer that previously traded that car in. Remind you it wasn't inspected not even detailed yet no stickers etc on it. So I told the salesmen I like this car it had a nice burgandy color with some 18" inch chrome wheels with more than enough trend on the tires to get me to where I needed to go for a while. So he said let me see if I can get that car running for you to test drive. While my family and I were wondering the car lot looking at other vehicles. The sales guy Web told me that the battery was dead and needed to get jumped and that they have switched the batteries.

So we waited for them to get the vehicle started come to find out later he blew the fuse box without telling me. In fact the manager Chris came out and told us "yeah these sales guys don't know what they are doing" they need to press some button before starting the automatic Nissan up. I was just happy to be there and I didn't get it at the time cause my mind was focused so much on getting that car. So we test drove now of the window electric chairs radio wasn't working. However, at the time I test drove it ran okay to my understanding at that time. So we did the paperwork and telling the salesman Web and his Manager Chris that we are going to pay it off in cash out the door license, Tabs etc for $2K. They said they could do it at $3K we said no.

Then they dropped it down to $2750 said no we only have $2500. And the Manager Chris said okay that I would be able to pay $2500 out the door which I didn't want to pay but I did so I could get into my car. After like an hour or so being there doing the paperwork they told me that I get a 3K or 3 month power train plus warranty never got it in my paperwork that they offer to me with any car purchased throught them. I felt good about knowing I had something to protect me being that the car had about 198XXX on it. Then sadly they told me I couldn't take the car off the lot that day. Even thought I paid for it because it needed to be inspected. So I would have to come back the next day which was Monday to pick it up. So I said okay sounds good the next day came around.

I called them and they said that my car blew a fuse box and that they were ordering the part for it and I'll have it back on Wednesday. I was so upset and just wanted my money back so I can go else where to find a car asap. And I asked them if they could offer me a rental car while they fixed my car and they said no that's not happening and they don't do that. So I waited patiently until Wednesday finally Web the sales guy that helped me out called mand and said hey your car is ready!!! I told him perfect I'll get a ride down there to come pick it up. Once I got there the car was parked in front of the building with all the windows down with the air conditioning blowing at it's maxxed (didn't understand why) and the sunroof opened up. I sat in the car thinking everything was good to go super excited to finally drive my car off the lot. I started checking out the gauges, electrical seats including the sunroof which was broken the wires popped out and it couldn't close. So the sales guy Web took it back to the mechanic to get it closed.

It only closed a certain amount to where water can get in because the seals weren't giving the glass to fit tight without any water getting inside. So we took the car off the lot and had to stop at the gas station to fill the tank up since the dealership never put any gas in it (so sad)!!! I drove it home in one peaced parked it outside my place and stayed in for the night. The next day which was Thursday the 1st of October 2015 I took my car from Renton (home) to my work in (Kirkland) as I'm driving about 60 mph on I-405 southbound heading northbound. The "oil" check light came on and started flashing rapidly, next thing you know all the lights came on the battery light, service light, brake light you name it. The engine just stalled out on me locking up the steering wheel while cars in the back of me were driving fast. I turned my emergency on fast and put my car in park after slowing down in traffic and had to restart the car again.

Thankfully it started up and I put from Park to Drive and stepped on it and went to the right lane just in case it stalls out on me again. Which it did close to 8th ave W in Bellevue it died out on me the 2nd time and I pulled to the side of the road and called my family to see if they could pick me up. I told them let me see if I can let it rest for a minute and start it up and go again. So I let it rest for a bit and then I started it up and peeled out on the freeway head to the Redmond/520 exit and once I exited off to Lake Washington Blvd it died out again at the light the 3rd time. So I waited to the light turned green started the car back up and punched it in to drive and went through the green light. I drove it to my work going down the litter hill next to my work the car died out on me again for the 4th.

I braked at the stop sign restarted my car again and turned right into my parking lot and parked it in a stall at that time it died out for the 5th time and started smoking badly. I told my family that I made it to work without getting into an accident. I had my sister call the dealership to let them know what had happened. My sister said that I would have to drive it down to Puyalllup so they can check it out. I told her it's unsafe to drive at this point I was like forget this car already I want my money back. I called them and told them that I don't want the car and they told me too bad I signed the contract and I couldn't get my money back. I told them I needed them to come get the car cause I can't drive it and they said that I would have to pay for towing instead of them.

Pretty much the dealership was giving me the runaround and having me use the 3K/3month powertrain plus warranty. Which I still didn't get from the dealership. My car is still stuck here at my job iin the parking stall and the dealershp still haven't got back with me to take care of it. I would never ever want to go back to that dealership or recommend them to anyone. They have stressed me out and they do not know how to treat their customers someone should shut this company down they shouldn't even be in business selling cars. Please help me get my money back or have them fix my car ASAP!!! I paid my hard working money of $2500 for a car that doesn't do me any good broken down!!!

AUTHOR: Maxx Autos Plus - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, May 22, 2016

The vehicle that was purchased was sold as is. Any vehicle Maxx Autos Plus sells always gets a safety inspection prior to delivery no matter what the price its sold for. The buyer came into the dealership looking for a very low priced vehicle under $3000 and they were showed what was available in that price range. They purchased the vehicle after some negotiating. After owning the vehicle for a few days they ran into a problem with it not wanting to run correctly so we agreed as a courtesy to have the vehicle towed to our facility at our expense to have it looked at. Once looked at it was found that a fuse had blown that had to do with charging the alternator. We replaced the fuse and they picked the car back up.

Couple weeks later the buyer calls and says its having issues with the steering wheel not unlocking and she was stranded, so we once again as a courtesy had the vehicle towed at our expense back to our facility where upon on inspection nothing major was found except that the ingition (where the key goes) was having an issue. After this being the 2nd issue the customer had within the first 30 days we had decided to offer the customer as a courtesy an option to give the vehicle back and we could find her something else in her price range. She agreed to look at what we had to offer and we found a vehicle that worked so we negotiated the exchange and this matter was settled between both parties.

We have all the paperwork showing us taking the vehicle she purchased back in on trade and in return her new paperwork for the new replacement vehicle she purchased. This complaint was reported to this site in September 2015 and states it was just now updated in April 2016. Customer made the complaint during her frustration of the issues she was having with the car after just purchasing it and thinking we would not offer to help in anyway which we indeed did. She did not update the complaint she origionally made showing that we ended up exchanging her to a different vehicle.
