I wanted people to catch this, so I started a separate report. I reported these companies to the Federal Trade Commission.

Go to www.ftc.gov. When you move your cursor over the tab labelled "Consumer Protection" you will see several areas, one labelled "File A Complaint". That will take you right to the complaint form. It is a simple, straightforward form. I did this and got the following information back from them:

Letters from consumers and businesses are very important to the work of the Commission. They are often the first indication of a problem in the marketplace and may provide the initial evidence to begin an investigation. The Commission does not resolve individual complaints. The Commission can, however, act when it sees a pattern of possible violations developing.

The information you have provided will be recorded in our complaint retention system. This computerized system enables us to identify questionable business practices that are generating numerous complaints and may be in violation of the law.

Thank you for providing information that may be used to develop or support Commission enforcement initiatives.

Although they can't act on one complaint, it says that if a pattern develops, they can take action. So the more people who file complaints against this company the better.

I also filed with the San Diego BBB, but I don't think much of them because of several dealings that I had with them I found them basically worthless to help me. All they do is contact the company and if the company ignores them, they write back and say "sorry, couldn't help you". I wasn't impressed.

I also filed with the Attorney General in Pennsylvania as well. I tried to file with California AG but had problems with their website and getting the form filled in. If anyone got one filed, I would appreciate knowing how it went.
