Renting with McIntosh Holdings has been a terrible experience. Almost every interaction with Mr. Lee McIntosh and his staff was very rude, unprofessional, and exploitive. I was never allowed to speak directly with my landlord and was blown off by the receptionist regularly. The receptionist, Katy, is rude and incompetent.

The handyman, Pancho, that works for McIntosh Holdings constantly hit on me. One morning he came to the house as if to work on the house while I was home alone. It became very apparent that he was drunk and he began to hug me and ask to take me clubbing before I pushed him out. As a young woman this was a very scary situation.

The only interaction I had with Lee himself was when he unlocked the door to my house (while I was home alone in a state of distress) and let himself in on grounds of "emergency". He then continued to investigate the property despite obvious poor timing for me and then belligerently shouted at me how there was nothing structurally unsound about the uneven and shaky second floor, and that it was not an excuse to be unable to find another housemate.

My housemates had signed separate leases but in some legal paperwork "mystery", which I was not given the chance to speak with my landlord, I lost my security deposit because my housemate abandoned us half way through the lease. It was evident through my experience that the only sense this company has is that to taking advantage of those that don't know their own rights.
