Greetings,
It looks like I am the first to post information about this company here. I searched ROR's first, and did not see a listing, and am hoping to benefit anyone else who is considering doing business with this company. PLEASE feel comfortable knowing that my personal experience with this company can save you a lot of money!

First let me say that I am a smart individual I cant remember a time when I have been taken for granted like this, however we are all human and we all make mistakes. The following is mine:

I have a need to borrow money in order to pay off a home equity loan. I submitted an application to a few places on-line and got a response from a company called McFee Advisors (http://mcfeeadvisors.com/). I spoke with someone named Karen Stewart actually she had left me 3 voice messages. When I spoke with her, she said that MFA had received my loan application, and I was approved for the requested amount of $15,000. The rate was said to be 6.5% over a period of 5 years. She advised me that there is a 10% down-payment which will be applied to the balance of the loan. The down payment is to show commitment on my part. She then said that she will send the loan documents off to me, and then I can fax them back. I did this, and received a call the next day to say that my information has been verified. After this I was sent to the "accounting department" who will handle the deposit. Let me just say that under normal circumstances, I would not have gone for this although the documents looked good, and there was always an answer at the numbers I called. Accounting said that I needed to wire the $1500 to them, which I DID! I will provide as much information as possible below so anyone else who is desperate for a loan will have this information.

Once the funds were sent to them, they indicated that the amount of $15000 would be deposited into the bank account that I specified. I called the morning of the expected transfer, and was told that the EFTs are made between 3-5pm CST. After time had passed, I called them for a status. I was told that my account was currently "on hold" because it appeared that I had requested another loan. They were unable to give me any details on the "other loan". She said that can go ahead with the transfer, however would need $875 to "insure" the loan, and it would need to be wired. They said I can then expect the funds in 2-3 hours.
At this point, I started to wise up. I asked that my loan be cancelled, and they promised me a refund in 7-10 days. I don't quite expect it to be honest. Maybe I got off cheap $1500 it could be a lot worse.
Here is some information which you may find helpful:
Company Name: McFee Advisors (http://mcfeeadvisors.com) Also look for Trinity Financial (http://www.trinityfinancialgrp.com).
Company Phone Number: 1-800-517-7731

Finally, please be aware that they will ask you to provide important documents, such as drivers license, SSN and address. I am a member of LifeLock, so good luck, but am going to change some account information just in case.

If this helps even one person, then I feel this long description was more than worth the time. I am providing fictitious contact information below as to avoid any retaliation from MFA. I hope you understand! I am also quite open for any advice!!
Thanks!!
