MCI/World Com Billing Nightmare

MciWorldcom is nothing more than a common schoolyard bully that tries to use harrasement tactics and lies to rip you off. Our troubles with them started back in 11/01 and as of yet are unsolved. My husband and I signed up for a nationwide plan that included free roaming and long distance since as a trucker he travels all over the US and this was a must in selecting a phone carrier.

This was included in the contract we signed and imagine our surprise when our service was shut-off due to us getting a $1,484.81 bill. We were being charged for roaming and long distance and after numerous times in trying to contact them and waiting upto an hour just to talk to someone in customer service imagine our shock and disbelief when they informed us that our plan did not include these options.

Even after getting a written statement from the branch manager from were we purchased the phone and plan informing them of their mistake and sending them our contract that clearly states that these options were included free of charge the only excuse they could come up with was that they had not recieved anything from us.

We resent all the information to them numerous times and yet they still lied and said they had not recieved anything, even after sending all this to them as a certified letter!!! They signed for it yet lied about it. Only after informing them of having a signed reciept did they state "Oh yes i see now that we did get the contract and it is in review". Yet they are sending me bills for the full $1,484.81 and for all we know are reporting this as bad credit.

How can they get away with this when we hold in our hands a legally binding contract and statement from the banch manager as to thier mistake yet they are determine to make us pay....And to add salt to injury since we had to have a phone and went with another carrier since MciWorldcom shutoff our service because of thier mistake they have added a $250.00 early disconnect penalty!!! MciWorldcom what a joke. i will be seeing you in court.
