Gentlemen I called a computer repair company for computer repair , the company sent me McKenzie Smith, Phone No. ‪720-666-2002‬ , McKenzie Smith arrived. He gave us his phone number so that we could call him for future computer work and said he would be cheaper than the company that sent him ( we thought this was extremely dishonest and thief like of him , but didn’t think much about it at that time ).
He said he was to tell us he was from from said computer repair company , but between me and him , I could call him directly next time. He had an old computer disk that was not usable and used one of our CD’s to make a new disk from our other computer and then tried to install it – he was unable to fix our computer and ‪at 8:00 p.m.‬ he insisted that he collect money and would not leave until we put the money on our Capital One account.
We found out later that the disk he made and left with us, was not compatible with our computer and was a Windows 10N for Europe. We immediately received a charge from Amazon for Amazon Prime on the credit card that had been used to pay our computer repair. We called Amazon for a refund.
The next morning we stated getting several Amazon charges for computer equipment (over $2000.00) and called Capital One and were told that our address and phone number had been changed on our account. We called Amazon and asked to stop the purchases that were being mailed to a false address of ‪3130 Wright Street, Wheat Ridge, Co 80215‬.
The next morning, we had an e-mail sent to Amazon saying (no need to cancel the order right now. Thank you and signed Wes Anderson. We immediately changed our e-mail password and informed Amazon that this was not us re-opening the account. We are certain that McKenzie Smith copied our personal finance information and used it later ! We reported all of this to the Louisville Police as fraudulent activity.
