This company is very underhanded in their rebate policy. The product I purchased (Burn Suite 2005) was for $40 with a $35 rebate.
I submitted all the documents specified on time. After not hearing any response from them for over 15 weeks, I contacted them for information regarding the rebate. They said the rebate was declined because I did not register the product ONLINE by the time I sent in my documents. There was nothing said in the rebate information about having to do an ONLINE REGISTRATION. It said the product had to be registered (in very fine print) but not how it gets registered and when it had to be registered. My assumption was that submitting all the rebate info (including the software license number) constituted registration. I had never been required to do an online registration for any of the other many rebates I have submitted. Although the product is now registered online, they said it is too late. I sent them another email requesting they reconsider and they declined.
I believe this company has such a high rebate offer since they are confident that they will not honor most (if any) such requests.
