12:45pm Went to Mediamax looking for internet adapter. Man (John Downey) told me he didn't have any in stock, but he could reserve one when one came in. I agreed and he told me I needed to pay up front. I did not like that idea because who knew when one would come in. He assured me that he was the best at getting things and that Santa comes to him when he needs something.

9/25/2006

4pm Called Mediamax inquiring about availability of adapter. Man (Downey) on phone responded saying Sure do, $29.95 with software.

5:30pm - Called Mediamax to ask what time they close, man responded 8pm.

6:30pm Walk into Mediamax with Josh Randesi. Downey was out back. He came out front and asked how he could help. I asked if he had the internet adapter, he responded Yes, are you the one who called? I said yes. He placed the adapter and software disc on the counter. He said it was $29.95. I then said Is it common practice for you to take peoples money and tell them you will call them when you get a product and screw them out of their money? At this point I took out the receipt he had given me 8/26/06. He grabbed the receipt and both the adapter and disc and told me to get out of his store. I then refused to leave without a refund. He got very angry and came out from the counter and got very close to me. He threatened to call the police. I said call the police and tell them what you did. You're stealing my money. After yelling and cursing at me he phoned the police. While phoning the police I took my receipt back, he then came back in the store and tried to take it from me. Being that I had a prior engagement at 7pm and did not have time to wait for the police I told him that I would go to the station myself. I went to the police station and they told me there was nothing they could do.
