I would like to add my comments to the ever expanding roster of complaints for Mega Life & Health & Insurance. On July 17, 2007 I saw underwriter Stephen Casey at his office in Encino, California to be signed up for comprehensive catastrophic health insurance. Mr. Casey assured me the MEGA HEALTH premier PPO plan he had in mind would cover all my concerns and specifically, he would be giving me a plan that was NOT some health discount program as this was a primary concern of mine as well. However, this turned out to be exactly the case. My plan is a DISCOUNT PLAN, it is NOT health insurance, contrary to Mr. Casey's description. The CHEMOTHERAPY that my plan offers is a MAXIMUM of $1,000 a day under all circumstances and this is a JOKE as chemo in any hospital setting can run upwards of $10-15,000 a day. Also a joke is that the deductible for this plan is PER INCIDENT! WHAT???? - which he also denies!

Most disturbing is that repeated phone calls to Mr. Casey to clarify my chemo coverage resulted in nothing but lies from him as he continues to maintain that once I am admitted to the hospital, chemo at any expense is covered under the deductible, contrary to the written plan description I have from Mega itself which clearly states $1,000 a day for chemo maximum! I even spoke to Amanda in "benefits conformation" and she ALSO confirmed the chemo maximum under all circumstances at $1,000 a day! I have made complaints to MEGA HEALTH on their own website and have gotten no response! INCREDIBLE! STATE OF TEXAS, YOU NEED TO SHUT THIS OPERATION DOWN!
