MEGADRIVE Autovermietung GmbH We rented a car from Mega Drive at the Salzburg airport on 23 December 2013 and returned it to the same location on 6 Jan 2014. Based on the receipt we received when we checked out the vehicle, we were supposed to be billed Euro 198.53, approximately US270 to cover the airport fee, winter package, snow chains, and navigator. However, when we received our VISA card bill for January, we found that MegaDrive instead charged our Visa card US 516 on 9 January 2014, which is US245 more than we should have been charged. MegaDrive says they charged the additional US245 amount because they allege the car registration was missing. However, as I have written to MegaDrive, the registration certificate was in the glove box when I returned the car on Jan 6. Despite repeated requests, MegaDrive has not provided any evidence that the registration was missing or was actually replaced. Vienna

MegaDrive says they charged the additional US245 amount because they allege the car registration was missing. As I have written to MegaDrive, the registration certificate was in the glove box when I returned the car on Jan 6 , but there was no one at their rental car desk to receive the car and review.  Despite repeated followup requests, MegaDrive has not provided any evidence that the registration was missing or was actually replaced.
