Melissa, Melissa, Melissa. What a trajectory you're on. Rocketing up the TV media ladder as you hop from Cal-Irvine graduate to KYMA to KSBY to KCBS2/KCAL9 to KGTV Channel 10 and your current job as a daily investigative reporter and "live center anchor." Wow. You leave us breathless! Such a climber!

And, of course, you need the appropriate piece of real estate to go along with that upwardly mobile, young thirtysomething trajectory. Say, a nice little place (((REDACTED)))? Something around the neighborhood of $450,000? On which you plunked down, what, over $100,000? Goodness. They pay young thirtysomething local reporters a pretty decent salary these days, don't they? I mean just a short 10 years out of Cal-Irvine, and you and your husband are able to throw down more than $100,000? Wow. That leaves me breathless. Or were you? Were you able to come up with that kind of money, or was it funny money?

Here today, gone tomorrow.

Where did that $100k come from? Where did it go? The escrow fund wants to know. We're all curious. How about a little investigative reporting on that? We'll be watching ... as the promos always say, more news at 11!

It pains me to say this, because this is all just so wrong, but I have to come forward about this. I've been friends with Melissa Mecija for years - since even before high school. So I know Melissa personally, from before she became a popular news anchor in San Diego.

When she got the house mentioned in this post, she was being very coy with me about how she was able to afford it. She wouldn't come right out and say anything about saving money for it, getting a loan - nothing. Which made me very suspicious.

And she bragged to me, kind of held it over my head, that she could get things that other people couldn't because of who she was and for no other reason. That didn't sit well with me. Nor did the comment she made later about my family.

My parents have had kind of a hard time. Our house was foreclosed on and we struggled, we had to find a place to rent; it wasn't easy. We're both Filipinos, Melissa and I, and that's why the comment she made to me about the situation we found ourselves in being typical of "dumb Filipinos" hurt all the more.

We're not dumb. The stress of losing our house really hit us hard. My dad was a hard-working guy; he got sick as a result of all this. My mom came down with cancer and eventually died. And Melissa came to my mom's funeral, and my dad threw her comment right back at her saying, "I guess this is what happens when you're just a "dumb Filipino." That just goes to show you how hurt he was by what she said about us.

Well, we're not "dumb Filipinos." We're proud of our heritage and work hard. I'm sad that my longtime friend has chosen material things over important things like relationships and ethics and morals.

Sure seems to me she has a bit if a ego. by the way most TV ststions hire HOT window dressing wenches to place infront of the camera, ON this BimBo report I have to say they got short changed. LOL

1. She is not hot by no means.

2. When she is not talking, she can't close her mouth. Never trust a woman that can't close her mouth when she is not talking.

3.She seems FULL of herself.

4. I bet she is the boss at home and her man has NO SELF CONFIDENCE at all. I bet he is her b***h. LOL

5. google melissa mecija and look what pops up on the first page.

6. google "melissa mecija Reviews" and where she pops up.

7 most TV stations try to hire HOT Window dressing, the current TV station that hired her got short changed, I am sure they know she is like a bouncing basket ball, all over the plase, sign of NO COMMITMENT

8 TV ststions that hire window dressing that are NOT HOT do not pay the big bucks. Shore string budget....
