Members Credit Union members cu members Members Credit Union in Traverse City Mi says "People Matter More Then Money"...But really thats all they care about! Nationwide

I will try and make this as short as possible. I have been a customer of Members Credit Union in Traverse City Michigan for years. I had excellent credit 720+ score and always paid my bills on time with no questions asked. Between the years of 2006-2008 I paid off over $65K with Members, never skipped a beat.

I purchased 2 cars in 2007 a classic 1986 Chevy Monte Carlo and a 2005 Chevy Tahoe I financed both with Members. I paid on both of these loans with no problems. Well then 2008 came and I work in the automotive industry and things started to get tough for me financially. I was able to refinance my home and I pulled out enough money to pay off all my loans with Members except for the Tahoe which I owed $28K.

 A few months after paying members nearly $30K in one lump sum, my financial status got even worse; I was now making 70-80% less per month and my world was crashing around me. I became 3 months behind on my Tahoe, and Members repo'd it. When I called Members to set up an arrangement they told me I had to pay $2,300 to get my truck back. I was able to get $2,000...they refused to settle for it so I had no choice to fully surrender my Tahoe.

A few months later I decide to sell my 86 Monte Carlo, after all it was the only asset I had left. I had misplaced the lien release and called Members to get one for it since I fulfilled the entire obligation for this loan as agreed upon. And to my surprise they tell me NO, we wont help you with this and if I can find the original then Im lucky but they will not give me one since I had a repo on a completely different loan!

About 6 months go by and I get a call from my payroll dept to inform me that my income is going to be garnished from Members Credit Union. I knew this was coming, so I dealt with it. 2 months after they have been garnishing my wages, I get a letter saying they are going to seize my Monte Carlo! They have already garnished $2K in a month and a half and now theyre out to get the car I paid them perfectly on!

Of course I dont just come right out and tell them where I live or where the car is, but of course they find out...their out for blood. They figure out where Im living now since my home had been foreclosed on, there is a big letter on my door with bright neon tape all around it. They went into my garage and took the Monte Carlo while I was at work!

Members Credit Union in Traverse City slogan is "Where People Matter More Then Money" What a joke! Talk about kicking someone while they are down...
