I ordered a tan suit from MensUSA.com for a total amount of $175.00. the suit arrived via UPS as ordered, however the suit did not match my needs and I called the company to arrange its return. I was told, we got what we ordered and it was an online store and they don't do returns. She was then hung up on. I then reviewed the company's return policy published on their website. If you are not 100% satisfied with the quality, fit or fabric your can return it for a full refund!We guarantee your satisfaction. We have an unconditional return policy on all unworn, and unused new items purchased. Returns must come with their original packing and labels.
Once the item is received, we will refund the full purchase price minus the 10% Restocking Fee. No shipping fees are refunded. You must make a request to return your item within 7 days after you received your item, otherwise we shall deem that you are satisfied with your purchase and the sale will become final. If somehow we mistakenly misrepresented the item we will reimburse the full amount paid plus return shipping cost.
No caveat is mentioned anywhere on the website restricting returns.
I then called and asked the company to explain its return policy and why they were not following the published policy. I was told as long as I received what I ordered I could not return it and was then hung up on. I called back and asked to speak to the supervisor and was told by the same individual I dealt with earlier that he was the supervisor. I then asked to speak to the person above him and he told me he was the owner and was again hung up. This pattern was again followed several times.
I called again asking to make a return; I was told I was p**ing him off and if I called again my debit card would be charged again and was then hung up on. I then returned the package in accordance with the published return policy using the original packaging and with the labels enclosed. I then called to inform the company I had returned the package. I was asked to verify my debit card information to which I asked if I would be refunded. I was told, you just wait and see what happens and was again hung up on.
I also received an email stating, The return policy is only valid if somehow we mistakenly misrepresented the item.
The website also has the seal of the Better Business Bureau and is linked to a false review of the company claiming a rating of A. The actual review provided by the Better Business Bureau of the Southland gives the company a rating of D.
