I used Merchant Services USA ( Using CTS Holdings as a processor) out of Oak Brook Illinois for two and a half months and was ripped off big time. I was promised free Debit with them and is it turned out I was set up for strict credit card processing even on the debit cards. Beside that, I was short on initial batch closing report every night. When I ask them way it appear that my totals and their totals did not match, they told me that I have some credit coming and will post soon.

Second month Monic called me and told me that in the order to get free debit and free checking I have to give her authority by signing a fax sheet, and we agreed that she would get me new machine for check reading for $ 350.00. She faxed me the sheet and it stated that I will be charged $350.00 (I told her that I like to be billed, and after I receive the machine I would send them check, she agreed) She also told me that I would be credited on initial batch total shortages soon after I singe the fax and fax her back, since that would give her authority to investigate.

Few days went and I did not receive any machine, when I went at the bank on routine deposit they ask me about some money been taken out of my account. There were $350.00 and for times $ 100.00, all on different days. When we trace the withdrawal it turned that merchant Services had withdrawn out of my account total of $ 750.00.

The bank sent all the charges back as NFS funds, but their bank only accepted the last two $100.00 since they were posted in the last three days. The bank says that they can't go back more than that and get the money back. Two days later I got a threatening letter by the president of Merchant Services and signed by Carmel who claims that works for Wells Fargo bank and they were saying that if I don't sent the money back to them they would ruin my credit history. Along with the letter they sent also the copy of the fax I singe for Monic. But this time in the copy they had added another check mark by the download fee for another $100.00.

I faxed back a letter to them saying that I am ending service with their company and stating that they just made fraudulent withdrawal of my funds and the original fax says $350.00 but the copy they sent was added another $ 100.00, and I did not receive the machine, and I was even charged $400.00 extra for no reason.

After I sent the fax to him he called and apologized saying that it was error on the part of Monic and I would be credited at once. Two weeks when by I never received the credit, but I had another charge from other processor which I did not recognized.

I called him again he said that I was switched to new processor, but since I had sent him a cancellation notice he would notify the new processor to close the account and that it takes around 10-days to get the credit.. I never received anything back.

Further more I had to close my account and went with deferent processor. Then I called the processing company to check for my initial shortages. After their investigation I was told that initially I was set up and downloaded soft wear that processed everything on straight credit, and the tip entered after charge (anything handwritten by the customer since we are restaurant) on their end report it does not show.

Apparently all the tips entered manually went out of my pocket since I never got any credit for it. They said that their legal department would look into the matter but 5-weeks have gone and I have not received nothing from them. But one think I am glad it's over. This company is a fraud and they should be stopped doing business and ripping of legitimate small business owners.
