Meritrust Credit Union charges double fee's even on account with overdraft protection and cleans out disabled womans account Wichita Kansas

Meritrust is the new name for Boeing Wichita Credit Union. Since the New Year has begun they have charged over $350 in fees to my account.

I found out that they now charge an overdraft fee to your checking account of $32 each time they have to transfer money from your saving to your checking account. This is usually referred to as overdraft protection, which is intended to protect individuals from getting overdrafts. They also charge an additional $10 to my savings account for the same transaction. They used to only charge a fee of $8 to your savings account after a certain number of monthly transfers have been met. I also discovered that they charged me $32 when I made a deposit to my checking and $10 to my savings.

I called Meritrust Credit Union and was furious at this highway robbery. I was never informed that they were changing their name much less changing their fees to where it doesn't matter anymore whether you have overdraft protection or not. They never apologized but said they could only refund me one fee.

Don't let them steal your money too. They cleaned me out. My account had $0.23 left in my savings and less than $20 in my checking. This came at the worst time. I have become disabled and unable to work and have no income so this loss has been an extreme hardship. How many of you can afford to lose over $300? Banks and Credit Card Companies should not be allowed to charge exorbate fees to clients. There needs to be a cap on their fees. This is just legal robbery. Close your account and go to a bank you can really trust not to rob you.
