My son-inlaw is leaving my 40 yr. old daughter. He is also leaving her with a $2088. light bill
I am going to go stay with her till other arrangements can be made.
I called met-ed to explain the situation and I told them I wanted to put the light bill in my name. He said he had to check my credit which is perfect and continued. At the end he told me I had to give them a $500. deposit.
I know they dont make people with good credit pay any deposit let alone that much of one. I am on a fixed income, 64 yrs. old my daughter is on Social Security and totally bedridden. She also has two children and I still have bills to pay at my house. I dont think they are being fair to me at all!!I know its not just Met -Ed but what is a matter with our country? We have so many needy people here but they take our money and help the people over seas.
Well I for one am tired of the crooked ,ripoff s**t and for the last couple years stand up and figh anyone (goverment) and all You would be surprized if you fight long and hard enough you can win!! Now I will Proceed to the PUC Commission.

So your daughter lived in the home and was clearly getting the benefit of using all that electric that isn't being paid for and then you expect that you can just put it in your name and have the company eat that bill? Guess what happens when the company eats it? WE the CONSUMERS get passed along those costs. If they wanted a security deposit from you it is because you have BAD CREDIT meaning YOU don't pay your bills either!!! They are allowed to secure money so they don't end up getting stuck with YOUR bill as well! People like you is the reason the rest of us have to pay so much for everything, covering all those bills you run out on. File and fight every agency you want, but you have nothing and no one to blame but YOURSELF.
