I am an elderly woman with a retirement account that was valued at $150,000. I was contacted by metals.com - they claimed to be the retirement account department that was receomeneded by Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Based on the information the person I talked to from metals.com, I decided they are a credible company based on Rush and Hannity.

After I completed my IRA transfer into gold and silver, the value of my account went down to $45,000! They did not tell me how much the gold and silver cost. After I received my first statement that showed the loss in my account, I became very concrned. I did some research on metals.com and it turned out that neither Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh have anything to do with the company.

I called the Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity shows and I found out that theu had no idea what metals.com was and they did not recommend them. I also found out that the people who work at metals.com use fake names so it is impossible to know who I worked with. This company is totally fake and ripped me off!

I have a current complaint with this company. They charged me twice the spot price of gold and silver and when I complained they cut off communication with me. They won’t respond to emails or phone messages. No one answers the phone. You always have to leave a message.

To say they have 100% satisfaction is an outright lie. They do not care about their customers. They have preyed on me and other senior citizens (see other complaints). This seems to be their business model.

We were surprised to learn that you were in any way dissatisfied with your purchase due to the fact you have never contacted us, we can’t seem to find you in any customer transaction and we only learned about your concerns through this report.

We ALWAYS give customers a full right to cancel their purchases before the order fulfillment process begins, which includes a 100% refund on the price of the precious metals purchased.  

We would have gladly refunded your entire precious metals purchase if you were actually one of our customers! 

If you had ever notified us that you had any concerns we would have strived to provide you the 100% customer satisfaction we are known for. But, we never heard from you…
