I resided at one of Metropolitan Real Estate properties. I resided at this home for 4 years. I maintened the unit and grounds in excellent condition. I was sent an eviction notice to vacate no later than April 30, 2016 @ 9:00 a.m. The owner of this property wanted to reclaim his property so I was told by a phone conversation.

I had to borrow money to vacate, I am on a 'fixed income" with no savings. I thought I would recieve my $700.00 plus security deposit back. The home had no damages,  a few holes in the walls from my hanging pictures and carpet was beginning  to have wear and tear but I had a carpet service clean the carpet. The stainless steel appliances were clean as well as the cabinets, kitchen tile and the the bathrooms. I didnt expect to recieve the full deposit but I thought I would recieve something back.  I have sent letters, emails with no response from MRE. I worked in public housing for many years.

If a security deposit was not returned  a letter would be mailed explaining why. I paid rent with my retirement check which was 1,319.60. I always paid on time again I took pride  in keeping the place clean. I was sent an email by an employee stating if possible I could vacate before April 30, 2016 @ 9:00 a.m. I vacated April 1, 2016. I used the 1,319.60 to help me move to a new home.

Big mistake, MRE decided not to refund my security deposit. I am in debt and I am living in a very undesirable area. Please anyone reading this, please stay away from Metropolitan Real Estate. This company will cheat you in anyway they possibly can. Do a background check of the company you plan to do business with. Check the internet for complaints, I wish I had.
