DO NOT LET THEM ON YOUR ROOF  Metroplex Roof and Fence is such a terrible company, I don't know where to start. Let's start with the owner, Charles Chet Fairchild. This man is the most greedy, dishonest and scandalist person I have ever met. I know this because I used to work for them. He will tell you I am writing this report because I am angry with them, or lying about it or some other reason. I know this because every time we got a bad review when I wroked there he had a resason as to why it was written, and you guess it.... IT WAS NEVER HIS FAULT. Good luck getting a hold of him if you need something or if something is wrong with his company. He hides behind everyone. He is the biggest coward I have ever met. If you do get the "pleasure" of meeting him, he will NoT look you in the eye in fear that you will see his lies. Let's move on to the company and the way they conduct business shal we. They train their employees to go out and get contracts and get them all hyped up with false promises, company credentials, lack of training on the claims process (for their own selfish reason- I'll get to that) and no safety training whatsoever on how to be OSHA conpliant on a roof. All of this is unethical and dangerous. If you come across a representative from this company and they tell you they are Plantinum Preferred with Owens Corning and have been in business for FIFTEEN YEARS... And other things (they have a book of lies they are supposed to show potentials customers) it probably isn't their fault, they don't know better because they believed their employer just like I did. I feel sorry for them. They have actually only been in business FIVE YEARS, they DO NOT carry the proper insurance if something were to go wrong on your roof (they carry the carpertners insurance which a lot of roofing companies have- it only protects siding and such. Basically anything UNDER the roof) the proper insurance is very expensive and they are cheap, scammers, and wouldn't protect their clients and employees of something were to happen. DO NOT LET THEM ON YOUR ROOF Let's get to the claims process- just in case you get into a contract with them. Let me start by saying most insurance companies are well aware of their scamming ways. They have already been investigated by Germania, State Farm and Allstate. There are others but I am unsure of them at this time and I don't want to provide false information. What they will do is get the adjuster to admit damage, then tell you they will be supplementing the claim (thy take forever doing this for a few reasons 1. They don't know what they are doing and 2. They are trying to scam your insurance company). They will collect insurance checks and will not do the work. I know this is true because I have a client that I got his roof approved and collected his insurance check in 2013 and they have yet to do ANYTHING with his roof or return his check. I feel really bad, but it is out of my control. That's just one example. Also be careful if you are using them because they will have you sign a contract, work order, secondary work order- those three for sure but there is a chance there will be more paperwork involved. They have been known to go back and write in on the original once they give you a carbon copy so be sure to obtain your copies for your own protection. Be careful on all of them, but especially on the work orders. I say this because they will NOT do all the work per insurance as they claim to do. However, they won't tell your insurance company that and they will FINAL INVOICE for the entire claim amount and then demand all the checks that insurance sends you. This is insurance fraud. They do this just to make a little extra. As far as employees are concerned, don't work for them! They owe every past employee and most current ones too commissions. Chuck Fairchild and Don Wells will come up with every excuse not to pay employees just to fatten their pockets with your hard earned money. One of two things will happen: you will A. Get sick of the lies and leave willingly with money on the table (which they prefer) or B. They will strong arm you out of working there when you have a lot of deals on the table. Either way Don Wells (general manager and almost as big of a scumb bag as Chuck) will call the clients and make up some lie why that employee is no longer employed there. Then he will be "the nice one" to come in and "finish up the claim" and "Clean up the mess". Please don't fall for this. Don can be quite convincing. I could go on, but I believe you have the point. If not and you still use them, I'm sorry in advance. I hope their practices and ethics change. I would be happy to provide a list of unsatisfed customers along with a list of past employees to let you know how they truly conduct business. If this can save just one person from going through what I have seen many others go through it was well worth my time.
