Miami Dream Team Inc Face to Face Technologies Magazine subscription ripoff! The seller, "Rob Gallagher", was supossedly earning points towards a college program and trip. This happened in Menomonee Falls, WI on 5-15-09 , when he came to m parent Kittredge, Colorado

On May 15, 2009  2 young men, probably in their early 20's came to my door.  They said that they were selling magazine subscriptions to earn points toward a college program and trip to Italy (I believe it was).

They both had name tags with their pictures on, as well as the name of the company they were representing, "Miami Dream Team".  The name tags looked legitimate.  They also had a pamphlet describing how the whole point thing would help them, as well as info on all of the magazines that I could choose from. 

Being a teacher, I felt that if I could help them in a college dream, I would, so I ordered a magazine.  They were a little pushy in trying to get me to order a 3 year subscription, but I was told it was more points for them.  PLUS, I was told that because of the way the program was set up, if I saved my reciept, it was tax deductible.  So I went ahead with it.

I did not start to worry when it was months later and I had not received my magazine, thinking that sometimes it does take months to start a subscription.

Today while cleaning out a drawer in the kitchen, I found my receipt, and went to the computer to see if I could find the company on line, and lo and behold, the first thing that popped up were the words "SCAM, FAKE, etc".

I feel stupid that I fell for this.  However, the name tags and pamphlets certainly did look real.  I am now going to be much more cautious, as I have learned my lesson.  I also will never tell my husband about this whole fiasco!
