There was a previous Tweet that incorrectly stated that “RR does/did not advertise with Google.”  Tweets are short and information got lost in the translation of trying to cut the statement down.   It should have said that Ripoff Report is not participating as a Google advertising network publisher.  It has not for years, and that has nothing to do with Roberts, Duffy, or their effort to discredit and damage the Ripoff Report, a consumer protection forum.

Ripoff Report is not sure why Roberts and Duffy are trying to take credit for something that did not happen.  Ripoff Report can’t find any basis for truth in their claims, nor any indication that anything has changed with Google advertising.  As proven in court, Roberts and Duffy’s malicious efforts have resulted in some people being afraid to fulfill their contracts with Ripoff Report, although these were not existing Corporate Advocacy Program member clients. It is ironic that Roberts and Duffy act as hypocritical cyber bullies, causing fear, and making threats to smear innocent parties.
 
Ripoff Report continues to grow, and continues to improve its consumer protection mission. Ripoff Report is a forum for consumers to post true complaints, and for consumers to read true complaints. We don’t want consumers to lie, we want real and useful information. This is leveraging the power of the internet to get more information to smart consumers, who can judge the facts for themselves. Every business will get some complaints. How they resolve those complaints is what separates good customer service from the rest. Ripoff Report is an opportunity for business to show how they respond to complaints and criticism.  And, frankly, for consumers to expose crooks and frauds, as well as bad service.

Why are Roberts and Duffy using smear tactics and cyber bullying rhetoric to try to hurt the Ripoff Report?  We believe that if you do your homework, you will find that it is not because they are crusaders who believe the website is harmful. What Michael Roberts Rexxfield is not telling you about  is when Michael Roberts proposed that Ripoff Report pay him 105,000 Euros for information on how Ripoff Report was being hacked so that Ripoff Report could stop the hack.  It should also be known that Roberts wanted immunity for himself for selling the hack ((which likely ripped off all the people that paid Roberts)) and he was demanding immunity for the Hacker.  See that attempted extortion /demand here.

Ripoff Report refused to pay Rexxfield / Michael Roberts and then he started attacking the Ripoff Report and ED Magedson in social media.  If Roberts thought Ripoff Report was such an evil website,   why was he willing to give us information to stop hackers?   It is Ripoff Report’s opinion that Roberts is motivated by a desire to get money, and by a desire to get the reports about him down, so that he can win people’s trust (and money) by hiding information about his past. That is how it looks to us.

What about Duffy?  That is a puzzler. As best we can tell, Janice Duffy apparently used the Ripoff Report to publish criticisms of psychic reading services, but when the psychics criticized her back, it seemed to hurt her feelings and made her very bitter against the website that she used herself.  She claims that being criticized drove her to the brink of despair.  Ripoff Report doesn’t know whether “Doctor Duffy” is emotionally unstable, or has something to gain from being a hater, or what.   Roberts has thanked her for contributing money to his efforts to harm Ripoff Report. That makes us wonder if Roberts may be exploiting some emotional instability in order to get money from Janice Duffy. 

So, apparently, there are nuts out there ranting on the internet, and a couple of them hate the Ripoff Report. Take it with a grain of salt.
