Portland modeling agency owner arrested on sex abuse charges
 
The owner of a Portland modeling agency with dozens of young clients was
arrested today on 10 counts of second-degree sex abuse and 10 counts of
contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor.

Michael William Fox, 41, the owner of Vault Model and Artist Management Company, was booked into the Justice Center Jail where he is being held in lieu of $75,000 bail. He will be arraigned Friday.

Sgt. Pete Simpson, a spokesman for the Portland Police Bureau, said the charges stemmed from an investigation into allegations related to a 16-year-old client of the agency. Simpson said Fox had recently moved the business from Northwest Portland to downtown.

Detectives are interested in talking with other clients of the agency who may have been victimized  by Fox.

"The detectives want to know whether this was a one time event, or if there was a history of predatory behavior,'' Simpson said.

You are very right! Michael is VERY unprofessional. I'm not going to lie because I don't know, so I won't say that he "charges" but I do agree that he is Mr. Slick. He does have a way of brainwashing people. He thinks "everybody" can be a model. I don't know what happened with his previous job, and I honestly do not care, what matters is the present. And the reason I say he is very unprofessional is because he does not keep his word. I have met with him several times and he makes promises that NEVER keeps. (Liar, in other words) Also, he has stood me up a few times, which is VERY unprofessional to be an "agent." Defintely a turn off and not someone that I would want as a manager.

If you call yourself a talent scout, agent, manager, whatever it is, I expect honesty and professional behavior.

Apparently there is some beef going on, but the fact is that he is NOT professional~~ 

 

I have nothing to say about Michael W. Fox or Vault management except that he did not fire Pamela from JRP. Pamela quit JRP because she was offered a better opportunity with Barbizon.
Pamela offers people REAL opportunities to find work in the industry. She puts people to work. So SHAME on her for believing that Michael Fox could help her students when he left JRP and started Vualt.
You have to give her just a little bit of credit though, it took her less than a month to figure out he wasn't helping her or her students and he hasn't set foot back inside Barbizon-Portland since.

LET'S JUST SEE HOW IMPORTANT THE TRUTH IS TO YOU READERS. Look at the top of Fox's rebuttal and notice the word TALENTSCOUT. Then go read the fake rip off report he wrote about me, David St.John, and tell me if you see the same word, TALENTSCOUT at the top of that report. That would mean he posed as a youngster, lied, and deliberately tried to hurt my business. Watch this character.

Then he proposes that I did the same thing to him, only if I had,I probably would not have waited several months, would I? I only heard about this report today.

Do not be surprised if this character has taken your money for comp cards, has put you on his site or charged you to be on the site, and signed all your hopes on a contract and moves to Denver next month leaving you in his wake. He will try to put a substitute agent in his office so you do not panic. I heard he is losing his office here.

Of course he is critical of me, his TALENTSCOUT name on all his messages proves that whatever Mary Ann said, is fact. In fact he told me the very same thing about Pamela at Barbizon, he said he got her fired from Powers. Of course he has to deny this - but where else could anyone have heard it. How would anyone know she ever worked for Powers with Fox? He recently told a friend that Barbizon offers a $8000 training course which meets only once a month and they needed him to act as their "pretend" agent. He charged several, $250 a pop for comp cards or to be on his site. He said Pamela claims to own Barbizon, when in fact, the building owner owns it. He said she lost all her instructors and turned her sales staff into "pretend instructors" at $8.40 an hour. Good luck with that $8000 education if it is true. Otherwise, I have only heard good things about Barbizon and I have met several of their graduates who were pretty well trained, I thought.

Apparently Mary Ann's name appears on the report she wrote - duh!!! It appears with a small "a" on ann so it may be that her email address reveals the whole thing in lower case.

The worst news is many fail to examine and read the entire report.
None of this would have ever come up if Fox had not created a false rip off report.
At least, now we have proof.

My name is Michael W. Fox and I am the owner of Vault Model & Artist management here in Portland, OR. I feel I am wasting my time by defending my company or myself with these petty claims but my company and my reputation are important to me. This report was filed by David St. John (Mary Ann) of Model central a now defunct Acting/Modeling school. We argued over how he addressed one of my 15year old clients. I was not nice too him during the time and let my disgust with him get the best of me. Since that event he has done many shady and underhanded things to discredit me as well as others in the Industry.

As far as the John Robert Powers or the Barbizon babble I truely have no idea of what he is talking about. I hold no ill will towards anyone from either organization nor do I have any involvement or association with either company. Furthermore, I have never been fired from any position or any company. Vault Management charges NO FEES EVER!!!! Vault Management does NOT sell photoshoots but we can guide you to great photographers. Vault does charge a nominal fee to be put on the website and I believe you will find that is industry standard. As far as being a Manager and not an Agent, I am both. There is no difference in the laws and bi-laws in Oregon as to what an Agent/Manager can do. I never discuss other Agencies in town. I personally feel the better they do the better we as whole city do.

Vault Model & Artist Management is a full service management company representing over 280 Actors, Models, Singers/Musicians. We are extremely proud of our clients and I hate to see them suffer because of one "NUTBAG" spouting ridiculous junk. He say's don't take his word for it go check us for yourself.
