Micheal's craft store deliberately puts out in-store FRAUDULENT Signs in the Jewellery making aisles, especially around X-MAS holidays (to new years) to take advantage of the rushed/stressed/over-tired customers so that they don't bother to complain or return these items in long line ups, thus Micheal's corporation takes advantage of these manipulative illegal marketing tactics!!!
Even though I was FULLY AWARE of their deceptive signs because of my past and costly experience before, I still got CONNED AGAIN, over what should be simple/clear sales signs and how they are displayed. I had spent at least 2 hours and over $500.00 dollars and was shocked to find out this happened again but in different ways! So later that night, I was so stressed out that I went back to the store and returned a number items, which really I should have returned all of it, but I made commitments to family members long ago for their late x-mas presents. So no more CONsumer X-mas's...Screw that!!!
While in the store again, I showed my guy and two other women shoppers the signs in the jewellery/bead aisles and objectively asked them how they do read this signs and they saw it the exact same way as I did! It was obviously not a subjective matter, but an illegal CON-JOB matter!
Over the weekend I showed the examples to three more people and they totally agreed too, which is now 7 out 7 people which we can't be all wrong...right? Of course the manager in the store tried to explain to otherwise, but I PROVED her wrong and I was more INSULTED, that she has to follow the corporate con jobs rather than just be honest with me. All one has to do is look up on many other sites about tons of employee complaints at Micheal craft stores, and I do feel for the staff that have to put up with alot of Micheal's economic slave labour bullshit too. (check out their custom ripped off framing complaints too..lol its obvious!)
Btw...DON'T Ever believe any corporate customer service when they tell you..."Oh, we take your calls very seriously and we'll have our marketing manager call you back" Friggin" LIE!!!! Twice I have contacted their head office (in the states) only to have them make you explain everything all over again, and make you wait for days for no manager that was suppose to call you back! No these coward scumbags may only listen to their monitored calls for possible lawsuit/liability issues but that's all! Its doesn't matter ladies, if you were big spenders at Michaels like I was for years, there is NO loyality any more! Those days are over!!!
Still to this day...I am so upset at these deliberate illegal tactics that I think I will just have to return all the rest of the of my purchases, but there goes another $50.00 in gas as its very long distance (here in Saskatchewan) back to the closest store and waste more of my time as well.
After I deal with this terrible experience, I will NEVER shop again there, but I sure will inform as many people as possible for the REST of my life...about these con-job corporations....they just get slyer all the time, and people really need to be more aware!
So..STICK THAT MICHEAL'S CRAPSTORE FOR YOUR SO CALLED MARKETING--2--SCREW--U DEPARTMENT!!!! YOU ARE ALL SELLOUTS AND YOU KNOW IT !!!!
(and thank you RipoffReport! Bless you! ;-)

Well I do see why you didn't post the "full" explanation in your original rant, and I do think I get it(amazingly).
But let me point out a few things.
First if Jewelry Making is really that much of a stressor in your life as it appears to be from your posts, perhaps you should find a different hobby.
Now, do you remember the old saying "A Picture is worth 1000 words". Well your original rant and update would require an entire photo album. But had you just posted a couple of pictures and a SHORT description of the "RipOff" perhaps you would not come off looking like a total NUT who only likes to B****h.
Onto your descriptions of the signage. In your descriptions it looks like there MAY be some confusion. I say MAY because YOU are posting your descriptions with your own slant. But I can see with just a change of a few key words it would then become as case of you just taking some really "out there" assumptions in what you THINK they should say.
Your story also continues to loose credibility because based on what you posted there is NO way you should have even gotten out of the store before you realized something was up. Because by your own posting you spent over $500, yet everything you apparently were trying to buy was a huge percentage off.
I could see if after the sale you would have spent $450 but were charged $500 as for $50 you may "think" you bought more. But in your case with everything 50-70% off being told your total is $500, you should have expected it in the $200-$300 range. That is unless you really thought you spent around $1000. So this is something just about everyone would notice. Well that is again unless you are so "stressed" you can't think straight. But then again if you are this stressed, perhaps your recollection of the signage is a bit off as well.
The other really interesting statement is when you talked about their "action aisle". That sounds like Employee speak and not something someone who has to spend $50 in gas to just go there would even know. In fact I bet I could go into a Michaels and ask 7 people where the "action aisle" is and 7 of them would probably look at me like I was talking a foreign language. Which in conjunction with your original post makes me wonder if in fact you may be an Ex-Employee.

What the hell is your report about??? I have not a clue because you b**** and b**** about signs and manipulating tactics but over not one ounce of evidence!! Please provide real PROOF of this or shut up. I, for one, are sick of hearing about people like you who spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars in a store when I (with TWO degrees) can't find a job!!
Grow up and get real - there are people like me who are struggling and you are b******* about spending more money than I can even get working at a crap job.

Through this entire "rant" there is one very obvious thing missing.....
What did these signs say that has you in such a rage?
