I purchased a used 1996 beretta off of jeff and michelle bidoul 4/12/2008 from an ad they had placed on craigslist for 1400 cash. her ad stated, " i will garuntee this is a very reliable car." I couldnt plate or insure the vehicle at time of purchase as the secretary of state was closed. I did get those things taken care of on the following Monday. on 4/17/2008 my daughter took the car to run a few errands. she called me and said the car had died. we had it towed to a garage and was informed that the motor had seized. we contacted the individuals and informed them of what had happened. they said pretty much that its our problem now. i even asked them if they could go half on repairs. they said no. now, they're avoiding our calls.

To repair the engine will cost much more than the current value of the car and would make no economical sense. Therefore, write off the car as a total loss and look for a newer, more reliable car in the future...
