I was very excited to be relocating for a new job; I hired a moving company to do so. I contacted WeHaul International movers to secure trucks and dates for my move. I signed the contract and paid my deposit.

This is when my troubles started. After my furniture was picked up, I never knew where it was at. One day I was told it was in another state on it's way, another day I was told it was in another state, and another day I was told that it hasn't left origin yet. I couldn't ever get a straight answer from anyone, which is only when I was actually able to reach someone on the phone.

My card was charged before the delivery was completed. it was going to be on hold until I signed for it. The money was changed long before I saw my furniture.

Here I was, in a new town with a new job, and I had nothing. No bed to sleep in, no dished to eat, no clothes to change into. I didn't see my things until I contacted the police to report my things stolen, since I had no clue where my things were or when I was going to see any on them. I also contacted my lawyer, only then did I get a call from the movers to tell me my things are on the way, a week later than stated in the contract!

Now, I am trying to file a claim for those things that were damaged in transit...no one there is picking up the phone! I can't even reverse charges on my credit card now. it is a disgrace and a prime reason why Detroit has such a bad reputation around the rest of the country.
