We had almost the same expereince with this guy. He came in to repair our Cutera laser also, and played like he was the big shot of lasers. The mistake we made was beleiving him. So he worked on our Cutera for a while, and could not finish it. He took our hand piece with him, which we didnt hear from him for a while. Finally he told us he could repair the hand piece for 4500.00, which is insane. So we declined.

We since FINALLY got the hand piece back after wrangling back and forth to get it (this was a chore in and of itself). Of course he was super mean once we didnt want to work with him, and realized he had no clue what he was doing, and no ethics. We finally got it back, and the hand piece really only needed to be serviced (not "rebuilt" as he said). We had it fixed for 500.00, and the machine was really what needed to just be calibrated. The new tech hooked up his computer, showed us what he was doing, and had the laser up in about 1.5 hours. 

This Covertier character is just that, a character. Unprofesional, unqulified, unethical, and just not a nice person. I would highly recoment finding someone who knows what they are doing. this guy surely does not.
