Micro PC Clinton Mertin Telephone scam using Google Play gift cards Austin vicinity Texas, et al

Clinton Mertin called me to say that Micro PC is going out of business and he wanted to refund my subscription fee. I agreed. Later he called to say they had mistakenly refunded too much, so that i needed to puchase some Google Play cards to make up the difference (They claim they are partnered with Google).

After each there always seems to be a problem so that I had to buy more cards, but they swore it was not a problem for me since all my money would be refunded through their bank (Chase?).

Thousands of dollars later I still haven't gotten a refund, even being told if I did tat today it would close the application and my money would be refunded by this evening. That, I should say, was not the first time I had heard that. I hung up and did not respond, although I kept getting messages that I would lose the money.
