mid-america apartment communities suck big time. do not rent an apartment anywhere in the country with these people. They will rip you off! They will tell you anything you want to know and answer all of your questions with lies and then get you to sign an iron clad lease that holds you financially responsible for the apartment for years without anyway of getting out of it.
You may think you are signing a 6 month lease and then it turns out you really signed for 13 months or more and they will make you pay all of it no matter what. Stay away from MAAC!!! They have properties in FL, TN GA and others. look for the MAAC on the lease and then Do Not Sign It!
Run to any other apartments because they will NOT rip you off like MAAC!

I also live in a Apt. that MMAC has in Hendersonville TN. And I wish I would have ever moved in here also. They will lie to you to get you in here and then they dont give a s**t about you. DONT MOVE IN HERE, YOU WILL BE SORRY.

Find this hard to believe. When you sign a lease agreement the terms are always written in. Don't see how you had your 6 month lease changed to 13 without your knowledge or approval. Did you bother to read it before you signed it. If it says 6 months then its six months. If they turned around and wrote in 13 they have to give you a new lease contract that states 13 months on yours.
Did you check out the city's website coj.net from there look under services for consumer affairs and review the landlord tenant laws.
File complaints accordingly.
