I took my car to my repair shop on 8/16/04. I ordered by telephone an engine for the car from Mid-City Auto Salvage & Parts on 8/16/04 with my credit card. I was told they had to send an authorization form before using my card. I waited.

There was NO mention of warranty, NO mention of return policy, NO mention of a list of pre-installation maintenance that needed to be done my repair shop before the engine would run.

My card was charged with no authorization form from me. Having never received the form, I called. I was told that it went through without it, and that my engine would be at the repair shop within 10 days. I called again after 2 1/2 weeks. They weren't sure where my engine was. And the order - "well, it might be in a stack somewhere". After some time on the phone, they found it. They said they had tried to call, this is a lie. My wife is at home and there was no call, no message.

I called again on 9/16/05 (I received the authorization form this date) - my car had been at the repair shop for one month - they had shipped my engine to a dock somewhere and no one had ever called me. The engine, having finally been delivered on 10/1/04, had tags on it, which my repair shop called me immediately and informed me of all the extra parts and labor necessary to make this engine work!

I called Shaun, and you guessed it, he refused to take any reponsibility for: engine costs, extra freight charges, storage fees for my car. I had no choice but to PAY, PAY,PAY.

I picked my car up only 3 days after the engine was received. Instead of the $610 it was supposed to cost, I had to pay $1116.00 and $20.00/day storage.

I filed in Small Claims Court and was awarded my judgment in the amount of $764.00, not the whole loss to me, but acceptable. It is now late 2005, and this company refuses to pay the judgment signed by a Circuit Court Judge. They are a very pitiful company and anyone who can needs to spread the word that other companies should be used instead of Mid-City Auto Salvage & Parts. USE SOMEONE ELSE FOR YOUR AUTO PARTS!

I want my judgment in the amount of $764.00, Shaun of Mid-City Auto Salvage & Parts. Step up to the plate, Shaun. Be a man about the business of doing business.

P.S. If there is a collective lawsuit brewing, I will be onboard.
