mid-mountain co. claims/disbursement manager-Mr. Frank Brown they sent me a check for $4,875.00 and ask that i cash it and western union $2,875.00 to the government. Ontario

     Today i recieved a check for $4,875.00 from a canadian company claiming that i had won a random sweepstakes of $125,000.00. I was instucted to call a phone number and speak with a Frank Brown who give me the name of of a 3rd party. I was then told to cash the check and western union $2,875.00 to this 3rd party who is a government tax agent and this would cover the taxes on my winnings.

      This is the second check cashing scam i have been sent in the last 2 months. No legitimate contest would ask you to western union money to a 3rd. party. People need to be aware especially in today's world that there are many of these scams out there. Don't fall for it no matter how good it seems.
