Attention all of California: if you purchase this coverage, you will be in trouble come claim time. Read the policy, and verify the caps in the amount of coverage the plans come with! The agents who work for this company are undertrained, and by no fault of thier own, have no idea what other insurance companies cover compared to Mid-West coverage. I was thier for 3 years, and I was amazed at how many complaints I heard.

They DO raise the rates contrary to what you hear.
One Million dollars in the Cover Americe Plus plan is NOT enough coverage. Per hospital visit you only get half a million on that plan. However, the plan has limits as to what it will pay for your surgery, room and board, etc.

Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Aetna, Nationwide, Pacificare, Kaiser(not my favorite), Humana, and any other reputable company will protect you.

I know an agent who had a claim and got screwed come payment time. For an over $200,000.00 claim, Mid-West paid just over $62,000.00!

I had several clients that told me over and over again that thier claims were not paid properly or were mishandled.

Even the 1 claim that I had was difficult to get it paid correctly, and I'm an agent. BAD customer service in the claim center.

Bottom line, the policy is in black & white, so by signing, it's your own fault. Don't bite, please.
If you're an agent making rebuttal to this, then you are brainwashed by this mock-pyramid scheme. Go get a job with a boker and become an independent agent where you get to choose what company YOU want to sell for. Why would you want to be a captive agent. I had 3 lawyers look at our contract and all they 3 fell out of thier chair(figuratively speaking). They agreed this was a terrible contract. As an agent, the commissions with this company are lower than many others out thier, sometimes by half! If you sell as an independent cagent, you even get to keep the clients for your own, and not give them over to your DSL to make commisions on. QUIT NOW.

There is even a law office in Los Angelas dedicated entirely to Mid West alone! That is amazing. I can't give out the name without their consent, but with some research on the web, you should be able to find it. I encourage all agents and clients to find the firm and contact them yourself. I have retained their services in fear of Mid-West taking action against me for being honest with my clients.

Last of all, PLEASE READ: When the agent signs on, they are not allowed to say anything bad about the company for 2 years after they leave. They are also not allowed to talk negatively to any other agent for a period of 2 years. Why would you want to do business with a company like that? They are trying to hide the fact that many agents and clients are extremely unhappy with them.
