I contracted with Middleton Pest control to control cinch bugs in my lawn. Their service did not help, so I cancelled the contract in August of 06. It is now Nov 06 and they keep telling me they are going to refund my balance, saying "its on the next check roll to be run".
I spoke with Marc in the corporate office over a month ago and he assured me it would be cut that week and mailed. No check yet.

I spoke with Wilbert in accounts payable on the 3rd of November 06 and he stated he would call me right back. He never did. I called Today November 6th, 06 and again spoke with him, he said he would talk with Marc and call me back.

If you contract with Middletons DO NOT pay in advance, if you do and you cancel, good luck getting your money back. I am out almost $500.00 because I prepaid the year. I am not sure I will ever get my refund at this point.

Stay Away From Middleton Lawn and Pest Control

I have inside information about Middleton and can confirm that Middleton does in fact cancel contracts of customers that they find to be "too much trouble". They also claim to fix lawn problems and bug problems but the truth is none of their services protect against these problems 100% and customers often required them to come back and make service calls after the initial services were rendered. When too many service calls are made, they just get rid of the customer instead of getting rid of the problem. I know that there has been recent re-structuring of the company and have heard several employee complaints about treatment. I agree that one should not pay in advance with this company and to make sure that they actually solve your problem. If everyone called them out when a treatment was ineffective, then they wouldn't get away with not providing the service they guarantee and you pay for.
