On or about the 4th of August, I hired the company Midsouth home repairs , to do several things at my recently purchased home in Piperton Tn. I reside at Collierville until the Piperton home is ready. This Owner/principal James Glover, agreed to do some paint [specified areas], ceilings, build walkin closet, and install ceiling fans. Mr Glover proclaimed that he was licensed and insured as "electrician", painter and general carpentry. He stated he was licensed and "Insured". I hired Mr Glover on the 5th of august, at which time he stated he'd need an advance of 200.00 for paints. I gave him a check the 5th. He kept stalling as to his electrical license as he was perhaps to install electric 220 v for new water heater. There was a contract made the 6th. AND another demand, and check for 825.00 more. I paid with check. He did nt show up the next day nor would he return calls. He had promised a crew of 4 or 5 painters. Only he and another young man ever came period! It became evident that both men may have apparent dependency issues. After paying 200.00 + 825.00, and finally they show up for half day, partial on the 8th He demanded to my friend 2500.00. I paid him 500.00 more dollars the 8th of August. He was argumentative but took the 500.00.

The entire Contract price was to be (written contract) 2500.00. I have paid 1525.00 thus far, by the 3 days. He never did finish even small items on contract ;eg ceiling fans...He destroyed 1 of the 3 baths [walls]. He did nothing to improve the home, at all no colors were what I asked for and even went myself and bought some paint as late as sunday the 9th . I have the receipt for that part of materials too.

He showed up Monday at maybe just afternoon. At which time he demanded another 300.00 more dollars or he would walk, or stagger. In light of not even one thing accomplished at my home, and over 1500.00 paid already I refused until I should see some work. My home was left in shambles, damages, no work!!! and no closet, ceilings falling down from improper paint, This is going to cost me dearly just to fix all that He destroyed in my home. I have eye witnesses and Photos before and after this Man . On Monday he told my brother he was walking and he did! Thank God! He left and with him he took several gallons of paint and primer, that he refused to use [primer]. He stole my money, my materials and refused to return what he'd stolen of even materials. I am in process of filing police report with Piperton, Fayette County. This man needs to be stopped, he seems to prey upon us seniors. I have very limited income and a mortgage note near due. I cannot even move in my home. I don't expect you all to be able to get me any relief, truly. I simply had to advise Others of his tactics and lies to get One's money. He is no more licensed other than bussiness license, than my dog is. Even my dog has a license. Watch Him .
