I do not understand why Lucinda Bassett is allowed to continue to advertise her con of a program. She is just taking advantage of those of us who are suffering in life due to anxiety, depression, and PTSD in my case. I have lived in my own personal hell since I was young.

I started seeing a therapist and psychologist 3 months ago. The first visits are always really hard on me and I usually quit. This time I made myself a promise I wouldnt this time bc I cant live this way.

I was up late one night because I couldn't sleep from having bad anxiety and I saw Lucinda Bassett's and her company's, The Midwest Center, Attacking Anxiety and Depression.

I wish I wasn't so quick to jump on it because I am usually more cautious. I felt so bad that night as I have most days/nights  of my life that I wanted so bad to live a regular life I ordered it:

When I called to order the standard 14 day trial they asked me questions and told me a story which I am sure was a lie but I fell for it: I even ignored the pushiness to order the Take Charge Package which is more money of course.

My fiancee and I arent rich and dont have alot of extra money but he has seen me suffer so much he said ok try the 14.95 standard package and see if it helps. I wish I would have done my research online first.

When the package came I opened up the box and noticed I was missing some things. I called and they said it was on backorder and said we will give you an extention. This was before I listened to any of the CDs.

When I put the first in I was surprised by the short length. I was also put off by this woman, Lucinda Bassett, with a nervous/ manic sounding voice that wasnt calming. I thought maybe it will get better. Then it jusy went to her chit chatting with random people. I tried the relaxation CD, it was not relaxing. I tried disc 2. Same crap. They caused me more anxiety.

A couple days later I called and checked my bank balance as I always do and there was a pending transaction for 54 dollars. I went through all reciepts and asked my fiancee if he used my card for anything and he said no. We racked our brains until he said what about the place you ordered that stuff from...

So I called them and the guy  asked for my zip code. He said it wasnt us. I said I was going to report it and all the sudden he says oh i see it. Its for the supplements  and I said I didnt order any kind of supplements. Oh he said it was for rush shipping. I said wrong: i didnt get rush shipping. I only authorized you to charge me 14.95.

He says it must have been a misunderstanding. The charges were removed. I called again about still not receiving the materials I was missing and explained it wasnt helping me. Once again it was bs. The man said im going to send those to you rush shipping at no charge to you. He then gave me another date to call.

Once again when I called and hadnt gotten it; more excuses. Today I called and said forget it I am cancelling. I got more excuses and they said you cant cancel. I transcribed every single coversation I had and read it all to this guy and he stopped arguing.

I said this is a complete rip off. They said you will be calling us in ten years begging for help. I said I have a therapist and psychologist who specialize in PTSD. They said  you will never make it and get help. You are going to be miserable for the rest of your life.

Also when I called the first time they said if you return it you can keep the bonus  CDs and workbook but today they said no you have to send everything you have back. Not that I wanted to keep any of this crap, it's the principal.

I found about all these blogs and sites that are strictly about her and her company deceiving a ton of people going years back today. I saw that she was selling her crappy program on Amazon and submitted my story in short form.

As I read through others comments I saw where someone said google "Lucinda Bassett Scam", so I did and I wasnt shocked that other people had issues with her or that there are tons of complaints out there. I was shocked she hasnt been prosecuted or shut down. Why on earth is she still being allowed to do this to vulnerable people?!!!?!! She must be sociopathic. Someone has to stop this madness and I am more than happy to help.

The names of all the people I spoke with, which I wouldnt be surprised if they are fake, are: Karina, Maureen who said she was a supervisor, Bob, Marie, Kelly, and Ali.

Thats pretty much my experience, believe it or not shortened. I have dates; times; who I spoke with and what was said.

Can you believe this!...

I saw an informercial on Midwest Center for Stress and Anxiety and thought...HUH?! Talk about preying on the people! So I went to their website, even took the test, luckily it said I was not full of anxiety but it still offered me the Free Trial but I noticed there were no details about the trial offers where they say to click to  "try it for FREE" and the terms conditions are only at top of the page and the trial terms are vague at best and are in the middle in the tinyest font ever! Its no wonder there are problems. But on trying to see what other avenues are available to help, I only found one place where they seem to be issuing refunds with Business Consumer Alliance http://www.businessconsumeralliance.org/Report/Motivational-and-Self-Improvement-Products/Midwest-Center-for-Stress-and-Anxiety-LLC-in-Los-Angeles-CA-100104999 Now I cant promise you will get a refund but hey, its worth a shot! GOOD LUCK!
