First, I would like to state that this is not pretaining to the acutal dentist or office personal at the dental office I went to, but is in regards to the accounting practices engaged in by the corporate office.

I have two Full-Coverage Dental Insurances, which Midwest Dental excepts and has a contract with.

These contracts state the amount that they can actually charge for services, which has to be deducted before payment is made and this not allowed amount according to the contract is Not the Patient resposiblity either.

However, Midwest Dental Management refuses to honor their contracts with the second dental insurance company. Except for 1 out 8 office visits.

Midwest Dental Management has been charging me for services all ready paid by the two insurance companies, even recharging me for payments that they have recieved from the two insurance companies. Not crediting ALL of the not allowed amounts or payments recieved from the two insurance companies.

Midwest Dental Management has been over paid by the two insurance companies by $193.58 in payments from the second insurance company.

Midwest Dental Management is still trying to collect money from me, even though they have been over paid for services by the insurance company. They are threatening to turn me over for collections for money that I don't owe. Between the two insurance companies, there is no patient amount owed, because they zero the charges out together.

In fact, the second insurance company tryed to help by sending them even more money to cover the costs that the dental office states that I owe. However, Midwest Dental Management took the money and didn't credit my account to reflect the payment.

I sent this information to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, who more or less told me that it didn't amount to very much money and closed the case.

I am very concerned about this, because they have over 29 offices in Wisconsin and Minnesota. In addition, how many other have more than one dental insurance. Sure mine does't amount to alot of money, but when you combine it with hundreds of others it is a big deal.

This is quite the scam, collecting from two insurances and the patient, what is that triple dipping. I am not sure what else to do. But I know I will Not pay for something that has already been paid.
