I was approached by Wanderlust Weekly (www.wanderlustweekly.org) who offered to run a London wellness feature on my business on their website. The site and proposal looked legitimate. I am usually really careful about this sort of thing but like every small business out there want to get as much good publicity for my business as possible. Once I had agreed and sent the content for the feature I was sent another email offering to promote my business and feature in a weekly city guide sent to London wellness enthusiasts  who are looking for local recommendations including my branding, links and news for the next couple months so they could learn about Yoga Siromani my business . The Wanderlust Wellness Campaign – was a newsletter inclusion and ongoing exposure as a preferred destination for travelers heading to London, and local airbnb hosts so they could recommend me. The offer included 60 days of ongoing publicity to an  audience of approximately 50,000 email subscribers for a one time cost of $60. My feature was not placed on the Wanderlust Weekly website until the payment was sent even though the feature was supposed to be free and just the additional promotion cost $60. Once I made the payment via Paypal I got suspicious when the Paypal recipient was a Miles Shumliak. I googled him and found all the details about the scam (see links (http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/miles-shumilak/internet/miles-shumilak-denise-wanderlust-weekly-advertising-scam-listing-scam-for-business-inte-1360881 , http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/miles-shumilak/internet/miles-shumilak-the-list-mag-higher-minds-miles-shumilak-con-artist-thelistmag-is-a-sca-924878).  The inclusion in the Wellness campaign never happened as the Wellness Campaign to London never existed and I have had no response from Wanderlust or Denise for clarification or for a refund.

I then received an email from another business owner asking about my experience of Wanderlust as they had also received an unsolicited email offering them a free listing and as I was now featured on the Wanderlust site they wanted to see how I rated them.

This enquiry is what prompted me to act and follow through on reporting Miles Shumliak and Denise and Wanderlust Weekly as they are using the profiles of the businesses they have scammed as a means to entice other businesses (mostly yoga, fitness and pilates businesses) into the scam. I informed the business enquiring about feedback of the scam and told them to stay clear. I then emailed Wanderlust again and told them that if anyone else contacted me asking about my experience with them I would happily tell them about the scam and to stay clear and I demanded they take my details off their site immediately as I would not be used as a draw to scam other unsuspecting people. I also asked for my money back again- needless to say I have not heard a thing or gotten a response and no refund BUT at least my details were removed from their scamming site!

I am posting this because I am incensed that Mr Shumliak and Denise think they can just continue to do this. I was initially going to just put this down to experience but when I realised that I and other businesses already scammed were being used to lure in new victims I had to act to see if Mr Shumliak and his fellow con artist side kick could be shut down. These guys are scum. Stay Away!!!
