Mike Hall Motor cars sold me a 94 Isuzu Rodeo fully loaded in may 2005. I believe they took advantage of the fact that I was a first time car buyer, and a girl. They sold me a damaged vehicle.
I took the car to get looked at recently, and I found out numerous things are wrong with the car. Here are a few things that need to be replaced the head gasket, the rear break rotors, the axel is cracked and is leaking oil, the carrier barring needs replacing, the muffler tail pipe, the front axel seals, the power steering pump, plugs and wires, and the seal filter, again just to name a few.
I should have known there was something wrong with the car that they weren't telling me. A day after purchasing the car, I decided that this just wasn't a smart decision and most reputable dealers will buy the car back from you. This was NOT the case with them.
The OWNER told me that he had too many cars on the lot to buy it back from me. He then told me that he was going to the auto auction the next day, and that he could see how much the people there would pay for it. Why would he go to the auto auction if he had too many vehicles on the lot? YOU WOULDN'T!!!!
He also to this day, has never called me back either. This man has endangered my family and friends, he knew there was something wrong with this vehicle and he sold it knowing that it was dangerous to drive. I am going to use every available resource to make sure that this man does not do this to anyone ever again. Thank GOD that my family and I are still alive today.

Should or Must be replaced?

Some of the things you mention.. I wonder if the mechanic is telling you they need to be replaced, or they NEED to be replaced.
Carrier Bearing, and many of the other things are things that you would expect to be worn out on an 11 year old vehicle. Not saying that they shouldn't have been fixed before buying the vehicle, but that can all be considered normal for a vehicle of that age. This includes the brakes, muffler, tailpipe, etc.
A Head Gasket, I will guess that you have a leak between a water jacket and outside the engine, causing a loss of coolant. A 4 cylinder engine, you can almost bet on that happening every 70,000 miles or so. This, pending on when you bought the car, could have happened after you took ownership. When have you noticed leaks? From the get go?
The cracked axle. No idea on that one.
All in all... Did they take advantage of you? Possibly, but you should have done a better job of protecting yourself. From now on, always either bring a mechanic with you, or take the car to a mechanic you trust prior to buying.

Most dealers DO NOT buy back their cars, once a sale is made, too bad. Next time, take the car in to get it checked out BEFORE you buy, if the dealer won't allow this, then you don't buy the car, because obviously, there's something wrong with it.
Fix what you can, trade the car in, and don't look back, it's your best alternative. It's now 3 months after you've purchased the car and now you're discovering you were ripped off? Sorry to say, but it's way too late to do anything about it.
