Mike Thomson RV, after 4 months will not refund my deposit on a deal that was not financed. After 10 calls, e-mails, reassurances, and a lot of hot air, no refund is still not processed.

Be careful doing business with Mike Thomson.

Failure to return deposit

AUTHOR: bodybyduff - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, August 17, 2009

If it's been less than a year, file a complaint with the DMV.  I believe in California a dealer is required to return the deposit on a deal that doesn't go through unless there was a separate agreement regarding the deposit.

Won't get it back

Deposits are designed to place security in your intentions that the deal will unfold as you had agreed and are almost never returned. If they return the deposit to you, then what is the point of the deposit in the first place?
