We hired Mike Trussell, owner of SPF Roofing Systems, Inc. in 2013 to replace our roof on April 1, 2013. A contract was signed on June 4, 2013 and paid 10% [$13,000] upon execution of said contract.

Another 40% [$52,000] was paid upon delivery of materials and job start. The work began and was halted in July 2013 due to weather conditions.

And then 40% [$52,000] were paid upon commencement of SPF Installation on 2/19/2014. The company re-started the job but once again stopped due to weather conditions and said they would come back as soon as possible, as weather would allow proper installation.

Since then we had countless email & text correspondences about when this roof project was supposed to be finished.

All we ever got were promises not kept. Time frames that were not kept.

Over and over again we were told that the company would show up and finish the work in "two (2) weeks"!

This has been going on for three (3) years and the roof is still not completed and we have reported leaks to owner Mike Trussell. He only always says they will definitely complete the job but then NEVER follows through!

In 2016, we filed a complaint with the BBB and could not get a positive result. (see their response)

BBB has made several attempts to contact the business regarding the above referenced complaint. We regret to inform you that we have not received a response from the company. 

The last promises were that they SPF Roofing were in our Pineallas County on a job and would NOT leave before finishing our roof! That was last September 2016 when we had over 10 weeks of beautiful dry sunny weather. They never showed up.

Then, Mike Trussell again promised a date he would come in February 2017 but once again they did not show up or got in contact with us. Ignored several voice massegaes that were left.

It is March going on April and it is now four (4) years ago that we contacted Mike Trusell from SPF Roofing and his company has still not completed our roof project. It is deteriorating with every week that goes by. 

This is truly a ripp-off company.
