Coming out of Bank of the West, shares parking lot with Home Depot, corner of Bollinger and De Anza Blvd., guy blocks my car from exiting parking space and asks for help. Asks if I speak Italian, of course no, leaving Moscone Center San Francisco sent by his company in Italy to a trade show. Said he lost his money at card club, is embarrased and needs cash for the car rental for two weeks, $700. Wants to give me the samples of his Armani clothes he was sent to trade show with and does not want to take them back on the plane with him. I looked at the SUV he came in with, black, newer model said it was a rental, I looked for back license plate, there was none. He showed me 2 mens leather coats, lady full length leather coat, men suit. I said no, he said help him, he made a mistake losing his money, he showed me his passport from Italy, gave me his business card, had a car rental card. I said I will call the rental company and verify, he said no, he would get in trouble with his company. He then asked for 1 week car rental for $350. I said no, he said he was a good person and made a mistake and I said no. He said $250, I said no, maybe $200, he said "I made a mistake, but you need help." So I guess the scam artist felt I was not a good person?
