What made me curious was they asked where I got their phone number? They made me consider that maybe they did not want to be found or called. I did a google search and foud it very difficult to fine them on the web.

MilitaryRecordsData.com posed as a quick & simple way to inexpensively locate military records. They purported to do it for $1.95 but what they failed to tell you was that they automatically sign you up for $18.95 a month for a program you do NOT need or request.  They did promptly refund the charges when I called their phone number at 855 706-4710 and indicated that I did not sign up for their service or even request to.

I asked them about WWI records for my Grandfather and they said they could not find them so they sent me a form letter for me to contact NARA directly to request the same information.  I could have done this myself without their help.  They provided a lot of lot of text messages and Email asking me how I liked their service.  I was puzzled because they had done nothing for me in the way of service except bill me for a future service which I did not want nor request.  Be careful before you request service with this company.  It may very well be a scam or just false service. Customer service is an answering service firm.
