Miller Cleaning - Renee Miller Refuse to pay, Avoiding former employees trying to collect payment. Lincoln Nebraska

My husband was laid off from his former employer. While searching for a new job he took a job with Miller Cleaning. He cleaned a commercial building after hours for two weeks before he found a full time job. He was up front with her from the beginning that this job was just a stepping stone to a full time job. She even offered him more work because he was such a good reliable employee. On Friday January 30, 2009 my husband received a job offer from a great company for a full time job, naturally he accepted, but he had to start the following Monday. He called her right away and explained the situation. He said that he would clean that night, but that would be it. She was okay with that and said that if he ever needed a part time job again to call her because she appreciated his work. He dropped that keys off at her house that night. And later that week he should have received his paycheck. HE STILL HAS NOT RECEIVED HIS PAYCHECK! He has tried calling her. At first she said "I will have to check on it" or "I am away from the office I will call you when I return," then she started not answering, and one time she answered and hung up when she realized who it was! He also emailed her on several occasions and one time showed up at her office, which is at her home. He white SUV was in the drive, but she wouldn't answer the door. I don't know what is going on. I certain that Burlington Northern (where my husband cleaned) is paying her, why isn't she paying her employees? We filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau and I am going to file in small claims court. It is insane that she thinks she can get away with this!
