My son visited this dealership on 7/24/2014 and attempted to negotiate a final deal which was initially unsuccessful. After an hour or so of going back and forth with the salesman and supposedly the manager who was never seen, my son then, told Bill (salesman) that if they changed their minds and could accommodate his final out the door price, to give him a call and left the dealership.

Shortly after arriving home, my son received a phone call from Bill stating that they would honor the price my son wanted. My son then called me to meet him at the dealership to finance the vehicle.

Upon arriving at the dealership, I found Bill and told him that I was there to purchase the vehicle that my son previously negotiated.  Shortly thereafter, Tom Ross joined in stating that he was there to assist Bill, a new salesman.

During the paperwork process, Tom goes away and then comes back a few minutes later. To my surprise, he asks me what would it take to earn my business? Confused, I asked Tom what he was talking about as the final price of the vehicle was already negotiated. I told him the price we agreed upon was the price I was paying for the vehicle. Tom then stated that there was a mistake in the communication process and tells me that the price of the vehicle was what was on the sticker. I told Tom that the price on their website was $2700 lower than that listed on the window sticker. The price decrease was due to the fact that this vehicle was a 2013 model and had been sitting on the lot for over a year. They lowered the price in an attempt to sell the vehicle. Tom then blatantly lies to me stating that this was employee pricing only. Clearly, the website pricing states that this was the final price for the general public with no fine print and definitely not employee pricing. After arguing about the price, Tom further adds more tricks to the deal stating that we didn't qualify for the $2000 cash back or 0% financing, which increased the price further from the previously negotiated price. Tom also stated we didn't qualify for the military discount which he offered to give to us. I'm not the one who even asked for the discount in the first place. Tom brought up the different types of potential discounts during the paperwork process. When confronted about his blatant lies, he would constantly change subjects or start blaming Bill, the new salesman stating he didn't explain something right. The entire time, Bill did not say a word even when questioned and just stared at the floor. Tom had this smug smile on his face which further angered us. The longer we talked to Tom, the more he would lie, trying to cover his previous lies. We finally walked out seeing that there could be no progress to be made. I was going to talk to a manager, but seeing Tom in action prompted me to question the ethics of the entire staff and didn't even bother wasting my time.

It is people like Tom that gives car salesman the bad reputation they have. I have been purchasing vehicles for over 25 years and have never encountered such a dishonest and blatant liar such as Tom. I will never go to this dealership and sadly, they have lost a potential customer. I will also warn any other people that I know to stay away from this dealership.

You are a good example.  If a dealer starts playing stupid car dealer games, just walk out.  There are lots of cars you can buy.

Good for you.
