Milstead Automotive They charged $1,030.74 to replace a fan belt. Conroe Texas

Called Milstead Automotive after our RV stopped on the side of the road.  We told them it might be the fan belt  and to bring one when they came.  They did not bring one.   They left us on the side of the road 2 hours while they left to get a fan belt.  They come back with the wrong one.  Left us again on the side of the road for 2 more hours while they went out to get the correct fan belt.  Finally came back and installed it in about 30 minutes.  Charged us $1,030.74 as we had to pay for the time they were stuck in Houston rush hour trafficlooking for fan belts. 

Motor home still was not running well, had another service come out and they found the battery cables to the starter motor loose.  They told us the tech from Milstead probably loosened the cables as he was in that area of the motor and did not even seem to notice it.  This would cause the motor to not start and he would have to sell us a battery or be towed to his shop by his tow truck.  More $$$$$

We have been told by many people since this incident to stay away from this company as they are CROOKS!
